Personal Time

The one and only thing that I used to feel sad about having twins was, not being able to give them individual attention. Well, my kids have found a way out for me for that. Sometimes one will go to sleep a little later or the other will wake up a little early so I will have time with each one of them alone. Then when they're awake they, love to play with each other and me together.

My together time with both of them is fun, but my personal time with each one of them is even more fun. They each play different fun things with me, laugh differently and I like both their ways of having fun. They fill me with joy.

Sammy is the adventurer. She loves, exploring and reach for things out of reach, behind closed doors or drawers. She doesn't find much fun in playing with them though. Once retrieved she goes onto the next adventure to find another something, difficult to get. She loves hugs and tickles and action.

Chiyu on the other hand is resourceful. She is not interested in going and getting something. If there's a boundary set for something she prefers not to try anything outside it. She will not try climbing the sofa even (as she thinks she cannot do it).She is very resourceful, finding new ways to play with things that are already available to her. She loves tickles and lots of talking. Occasionally she will take what Sammy has found but doesn't want, to make a fun game for herself and then Sammy sees the game and wants it back.

The one thing that stood out to me was though they are so different and have fun different ways, I like the time they spend with me alone. Its without the hassles, the crying, the hunger, just plain hanging out together, tickling toes, lots of hugging. Lying on my lap(though they don't fit ). Babblings. I wondered is that why God loves to have a Personal Time with each and every one of His children, because we each bring Him joy and gladness of a different kind, the kind that only we can bring coz of our personalities. How we interact with Him, not crying for food or other needs, just plain hanging out and talking and having a good time.

Give God a good time with you. Go to Him, not for a need but just for hanging out with Him. Just the two of you and you yourself will like it too, as much as God loves to hang out with you, because He loves you. You'll see.
